An Overview of Purpose

The best use of new technologies is to support the analysis, interpretation and inference required by many of the Virginia Curriculum Standards in curriculum areas such as math, science, social studies, art and all the other academic areas. This workshop is designed to engage teachers in the exploration of curriculum rich learning units that make effective use of new technologies along with classic tools such as print materials, interviews and good questioning. Effective units require that students explore essential questions, solve problems and make decisions regarding issues, concepts and content drawn from the curriculum.
