1) Possess a strong foundation in the elements required to build standards-based curriculum units;

2) Understand the importance of information literacy, information power and essential questions while addressing the challenge of teaching students to analyze, interpret and infer;

3) Grasp the advantages of scaffolding when building curriculum units;

4) Complete 60-80 per cent of a standards-based curriculum unit that will be available for use during the 2001-2002 school year;

5) See the value of blending new technologies with more classical tools.
