What is a masterpiece?

Some paintings, some poems, some plays, some ballets, some operas and some symphonies are so magical and inspiring, we call them masterpieces. In this article, Jamie explores a painting by Winslow Homer in order to explain what he thinks it takes for a piece to qualify as a masterpiece.
