The Purge of 2025

Trump's comments about retribution and finding "the enemy within" should provoke a deep dense of foreboding that hearkens back to the 1930s and 1940s when Hitler's thugs swept through cities rounding up Jews, Roma, homosexuals and many others who were deemed "the enemy within." In this article, Jamie imagines scenes that may take place if a triumphant and newly elected Trump fulfills his promise to round up undocumented immigrants and political opponents.

As the Washington Post reported:
In election rallies, Trump has vowed punitive action on all perceived enemies. “I am your retribution,” he told supporters at one event. In another, he promised to “root out the Communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical-left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”
