Testing and Refining Lessons

Now that you have built a lesson, consider testing it and refining it based on the response of your students.

Lessons often need to be modified and directions clarified once students have given the first version a good effort. These refinements will lead to improved comfort, efficiency and success the second time around.

In 30 minutes, a team of students can wrestle with a big question and cast some light on it, whether they be first graders, pre-schoolers or approaching middle school. The secret is good, tight lesson design. No waste, no bother and no wandering about. Structure, clarity and meaning!
